On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of May 2014

at The Forum Barrow

The Young King Arthur

Long, long ago in a tumbledown castle on the site of what would one day be the centre of Barrow-in-Furness, lived young Arthur, his scheming half-sister Morgana, his two-timing girlfriend Guinevere, and a bunch of rebellious knights.

Things were not looking too good for Arthur, until one of Merlin's spells went wrong and opened up a timewarp into the 21st century, bringing a whole new range of opportunities...

and

Jackie and the Beanstalk

A manic version of the well known pantomime, featuring all the usual characters plus the customers of a beans-with-everything fast food restaurant in the clouds.

Furness Youth Theatre

Furness Youth Theatre's objectives are to provide family entertainment in the Furness area and to develop young people's confidence and skills in acting, singing, movement, communication and self-expression.

Taking part in theatre productions gives young people the invaluable experience of working together as a mutually supportive and self-disciplined team. This is an experience which drama classes and workshops alone cannot provide, and is the reason why FYT enables all its members to progress to large scale theatre, should they wish to do so.

Membership is open to anyone aged 9 - 16.  No prior experience is necessary - most of the people who come to us are absolute beginners. All that’s needed is commitment and a positive attitude.

Furness Youth Theatre is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.
